What’s coastal living without a little fishing? Although Chesapeake itself isn’t on the coast, its location makes it a prime place to fish.
Fishing can be a great stress reliever, for both the fisher and the significant other who gets a morning to themselves. Hosted by the Bill Wills SE Virginia Chapter of Trout Unlimited, their workshop teaches the basics of fly-fishing. Admission is free, and no experience or gear is necessary.
According to VisitChesapeake.com, the workshop is a scheduled monthly event from January through March. Visit their website for event details.

According their event calendar, tours are currently scheduled for January 9, 2015 and February 13, 2015. Remember What’s Above at Skywatch
When did you last pause and look up at the night sky? Starting January 10th, Skywatch at Northwest River Park will run from sunset to 11:00 PM. You’ll have the opportunity to join the Back Bay Amateur Astronomers in an eye opening look at the stars through their scopes, guided by their expertise.
